We'd be more right to complain if we paid £49 for a shirt which disintegrated like Heskey in the penalty area after one wash. It's embarrassing but at least they're not trying to pull the wool (or poly-cotton fibre) over our eyes.

I'm not buying another one anyway, I've got plenty. I'm too old and too fat; they're too expensive.

They were field tested at Newcastle and fell apart!!!!!

Get your replica kit in November; see them for sale half price in April heralding the arrival of yet another kit change for 2011-12.  In other words, £40+ for six-months wear.

As has been said: buy a retro shirt.

And has also been said, kick Nike into touch.  They're treating us as second-class schmucks. Amazing that the arrival of Man Utd and Arsenals new kits aren't affected by production delays. Nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that Nike pay those clubs far more for the privilege than they do us, and they need to shift much greater quantities as a consequence.

Unless we really are getting the best commercial deal possible, I don't necessarily buy into the power of the Nike brand argument.  Buyers of replica strips will buy them regardless of the manufacturer.  I don't know who Macron are, but West Ham's kit is stylish - and more to the point, available to buy.

Just don't bring back Henson...

It fair makes you pine for the days when the black away kit couldn't be worn by the team but was available to buy.

the club needs to do something to make this years shirts appealling and worth it,  this pathetic "good will gesture" of keeping the prices at £45 is a disgrace.  even paying the £35 at soccer sports will be pointless for 6 months wear

Won't be buying the kids one, not now, had they been released at start of season then fine, but think the 'gesture' from the club to retain last years price and free name & number printing is poor.  Price should be dropped considerably, either that or issue statement that shirts will be retained for the following season too, then I might reconsider.

Trouble with price is that it's set by Nike.  We probably can't drop the price by more than what Nike say so.
