Someone in the Villa commercial dept WILL know if the shirt is to be used next season or not!

That would have been definite article in the contract as costs per shirt would had to of been worked out when the contract was signed [cost to originate new design etc...]

So I would imagine that due to the silence about this issue [the 2 year shirt] then the shirt will be changed next season and the club are reticent about informing us of this due to the fact that many will choose not buy this shirt but to wait for the new one.

I might be wrong [and I hope to be proved so] but I don't think so

Mark

I just been looking online to see what I can buy instead, I must admit most of the Villa wear is shit this season, there are a couple of collared T shirts but that's it really

The retro shirt "range" is limited as well.......no 1971 replica for a start..........

Would really like us to have an Adidas kit for the first time.

If not then Umbro or Puma wouldn't be too bad.

Hope we dont go back down the cheap and tacky route with no mark manufacturers (see Small Heath, West Ham this season..)

I don't understand why Villa don't just sack Nike and get a deal with Umbro

Umbro are making all the best kits this season and they could reissue the old classic Umbro Villa kits that all the fat blokes on here like to wear.... I mean all the blokes "of a certain age" on here like to wear.

Everyone would be happy, the new kits and the retro kits would fly off the shelves, cash tills ringing, everyone's a winner, every egg a bird...

Am I missing something really obvious here?

Have to agree. Really like the Umbro Man City away shirt with the red/black diagnal stripe. Much classier than most Nike efforts.

And I'm of the age/size who doesn't buy replica shirts anymore! (Polos and Retros only for me now)

Makes no diference. Adidas own Reebok

And when we were wearing Le Coq Sportif in 1982, they were a subsidiary of Adidas

Although the General says Villa has another year left of the Nike contract, surely they've broken the contract by lack of delivery.

I'd sack then asap and bring in Adidas or Puma, and if the contract allows, do it now.

Nike are the 'Billy big bollocks' of football and need someone to knock them down a peg or two.

I've heard the quality of Pumas gear is very poor.

I don't see why it has to be a big name. As long as the look and quality are good enough then it's fine.

That's a point, I suppose.

Anything but Puma though, their kits are a disgrace at the moment.

Re. Puma, haven't seen one close up, but they look OK.

Adidas have always made decent shirts.
