General,When the club gets picked for a TV game, are you under obligation to fulfill that selection? Obviously you'll loose the revenue money and may not get picked as much in future...Had Villa and Spurs got together and said 'Actually, no. We don't want to kick off at 5.30, we'll keep it at three' Would you have been able to do that, you know, legally?
General Krulak here:1. pete3206: Simply put, like all Clubs and all businesses, we sign contracts...for many things. To renege on a contract clause in order to appear like we are not being "pushed around" is not something the Board would do. You may not appreciate that fact but in business, it makes for an environment of trust and faith. Yes, we will probably not have a full stadium...and I can assure you, we won't enjoy it. At the same time, the word of our Club has to stand for something...when we sign a contract, we can't just dump it because the dates don't meet our fancy. If this is taken as being "pushed around", so be it.
Hi General I hope you're well.- in light of the fact that the Spurzzz game on Boxing Day will be kicking off at the downright bloody ludicrous kick off time off 5:30, may I suggest that Villa contact the bus and train people to try and do all they can to try and ensure there is a sensible amount of public transport available both before and after the game? Public transport is shockingly bad and I remember last boxing day there was no public transport at all. Not everyone has their own transport and of course this could seriously hinder the attendance on the afternoon/evening of the game. Not everyone has their own transport, and not everyone lives within walking distance of Villa Park.On another note I asked you a while back about the problem I had in purchasing tickets for the Blackburn cup game before the Everton game for friends and was unable to do so as the ticket office were only selling tickets for that match (despite the ticket office being very quiet). You commented about how you could understand my frustration and you would speak to Nicola Keye.....any news?

General Krulak here:1. greenwichvilla: As I have said many, many, times...I don't always get to each question...it's called a "senior moment" and when you get older, you will know what I mean. The TV contract is just that...a contract. We cannot just up and say, "NO" to a time so long as it fits within the parameters of the contract.
