General Krulak here:

1.  Not sure what I am getting Randy....maybe a good book.  He is not the easiest man to buy a gift for....he is into so many different things.

2.  Different user name??  I will need to give that some thought.  Might even ask Mrs. "K" although I would hate to hear her comment.

sorry general to be so blunt but do season ticket holders who support the club year in year out matter more than the customer you want to bring along indefinitely? Sorry for such direct question but it seems like we are treated not so well as a prospective customer!
i suppose i could talk about christmas and birthday presents and get a reply but hey ho, i am only a slightly concerned season ticket holder whose season tickets increased by £120 for 2 seats in the lower holte as my 9 year old who goes to about 7 away games a season is now an under 16 instead of under 12. I also wished to purchase an under 8 ticket but as i am in L3 he would have to sit in L2! i was advised that i should look at the advantages of being a season ticket holder and i help to support the entrance for the armed forces! Dont get me started on that!  My money has been forthcoming but if the deals keep flowing away from season ticket holders i may not be so forthcoming!
One of the many benefits to season ticket holders is entrance to the holte suite, however upon queing against everton to get in was told was full and i saw people entering who were not st holders and others showing LAST seasons tickets! This may seem a little trite but it is getting to the point where i need to voice my opinion!
But i would like a buzz lightyear outfit for christmas!

General,

When the club gets picked for a TV game, are you under obligation to fulfill that selection? Obviously you'll loose the revenue money and may not get picked as much in future...

Had Villa and Spurs got together and said 'Actually, no. We don't want to kick off at 5.30, we'll keep it at three' Would you have been able to do that, you know, legally?

Hasn't the General answered this already?

General Krulak here:

1.  pete3206:  Simply put, like all Clubs and all businesses, we sign contracts...for many things.  To renege on a contract clause in order to appear like we are not being "pushed around" is not something the Board would do.  You may not appreciate that fact but in business, it makes for an environment of trust and faith.  Yes, we will probably not have a full stadium...and I can assure you, we won't enjoy it.  At the same time, the word of our Club has to stand for something...when we sign a contract, we can't just dump it because the dates don't meet our fancy.  If this is taken as being "pushed around", so be it.

Hi General I hope you're well.
- in light of the fact that the Spurzzz game on Boxing Day will be kicking off at the downright bloody ludicrous kick off time off 5:30, may I suggest that Villa contact the bus and train people to try and do all they can to try and ensure there is a sensible amount of public transport available both before and after the game?

Public transport is shockingly bad and I remember last boxing day there was no public transport at all. Not everyone has their own transport and of course this could seriously hinder the attendance on the afternoon/evening of the game. Not everyone has their own transport, and not everyone lives within walking distance of Villa Park.

On another note I asked you a while back about the problem I had in purchasing tickets for the Blackburn cup game before the Everton game for friends and was unable to do so as the ticket office were only selling tickets for that match (despite the ticket office being very quiet). You commented about how you could understand my frustration and you would speak to Nicola Keye.....any news?

General Krulak here:

1.  greenwichvilla:  As I have said many, many, times...I don't always get to each question...it's called a "senior moment" and when you get older, you will know what I mean.  The TV contract is just that...a contract.  We cannot just up and say, "NO" to a time so long as it fits within the parameters of the contract.

2.  Season Tickets:  We continually are striving to make ST's the VERY best bargain for the money...and they are.  We also ensure that access to such places as the Holte Pub are available to ST-holders above any others.  There are other things that come with holding the ST....none more obvious than last year and the FA and Carling Cup play at "the" England stadium.  W/O a ST, it was nigh on to impossible to get a ticket.  I do know that Paul Faulkner and Nicky Keye are looking into other ways to make the ST even more special.

Evening General,

Now that Gerard and his team are bedded in, I'm sure it won't be long before our academy is starting to attract the cream of youth players from around the world in preparation for a sustained attack on the Champions league - my parents have been housing students from a local language school for a couple of years now and have an ideal home to place young lions, who is best to contact about this?

Cheers

General, has the club considered holding a Bollywood evening, or series of such such nights, at the ground? Either in one of the suites, or restaurants?

General,

I'm currently in the US on something of an Elvis Presley pilgrimage, and I noticed that Elvis has a Cleveland Browns football on his grave:

I did a little bit of research to try and discover its significance, and it would appear that he was indeed a Browns fan - I think this means we can claim him as a Villan as well  ;)

Didn't Manchester United refuse to move one of their games for television over the Christmas period a couple of seasons back?  Do they not have to adhere to the same rules of these contracts as other clubs?

General Krulak here:

1.  I am unaware of ManU "refuse" to move one of their games for TV.  They are bound by the same contracts as all Premier league Clubs.

2.PaulMcGrathNo5Shirt:  I believe I have answered this before but....here goes:  We do contact the bus and train folks and let them know what we expect on game day.  Normally, we have VERY little IF any sway over what they do...how many buses or trains they run...or when.  Nicky Acknowledged the same feelings as I had when you mentioned your issue with the ticket office and indicated she would work to ensure that such did not happen again.

3.  peterw:  To be honest, I don't know what a "Bollywood Evening" is...so I am not sure whether or not we have looked at doing something like that.  Please excuse an ignorant Yank.

4.  Bottom Right 89:  I would go straight to the director of the Academy with the offer.

5.  Elvis was a Brown's Fan!!!

I may be wrong, but i think Man Utd were asked to move a game to Christmas Eve and they quite rightly said no.

General, a Bollywood evening is an Indian-themed event which captures their culture.
