Please don't tell me to phone the ticket number either, it costs a bloody fortune to listen to God knows how many minutes worth of ticket offers and availability.

It's a freephone number.

Not from a mobile.

General,

I agree it is time to draw a line under what has been a really difficult time for the club and I am really looking forward to how the new manager brings a fresh approach and ideas to the club. One thing which was blatantly obvious on Saturday was an air of apathy. The days of the launch of 'Proud History, Bright Future' at the Sheffiled United game a few years ago seemed long forgotten and that is a shame as we are a long way forward as a club from the day Randy took over.

The point I was going to make is that I think the fans need a pick up and whilst this will naturally come in time with better performacnces on the pitch it would be great if some positive news came out fot eh club by tieing down two of our best assets in Ashely Young and Gabby Agbonlahor to new long term contracts. Given the view outside of the club that we are now a club that sells it's best assets, this would be a great way to show this to be rubbish as well as showing the fans who perhaps feel the same that this is not the case.

I appreciate team affairs are down to the manager but would expect that he would be delighted to see this happen too. They have both said how happy they are at the club recently so hopefully this is soemthing Randy can work on now and give us all some good news and lift the atmosphere a little.

In that case, it's cheaper/taken off your minutes, if you use the non-freephone no. 0121 327 5353

Apologies if you were doing this anyway

London Villan is correct, however it doesn't always work as it's not standardised.

General Krulak here:

As for the "P's"...pretty hard to have a Plan "B" in your pocket for a Manager that drops his letter 5 days before the start of the season.  The fact that Randy immediately got on the plane back to the UK and was moving forward in Manager search from day one is pretty good in my humble opinion.  Would we have rather had things not happen...absolutely!!

General, can we now rest assured that there will be a plan 'B' in future?

General, do you prefer Red or Brown sauce on a sausage sandwich? (or maybe none at all)

General i noticed you diddnt reply to this comment? I think this is a rather important topic. And im anxious to know: Bacon or Sausage!

I think that you will find that in North America that bacon or sasuage sandwichs aren't popular. Only special places will do a 'full Enlgish' and you will be lucky if you got some baked beans. My guess is that the General likes a good eggs benedict now and again and will have them with ham.

General Krulak here:

1.  Risso:  A good question and one that deserves an answer.  We continue to point for the top 4...to do otherwise would be to literally accept being less than we feel we can and should be!  As we look at the Club now and at some of the other Clubs in the League, we recognize that is a tall order...especially with what has happened this summer.  At the same time, we have a new Manager and new set of Coaches who have their own idea of our Club and others.  They did not come to Villa Park to roll over for anyone.  GH is a smart football man...savvy and tested at the highest levels.  Obviously he will need some time to put his imprint on the Club but I don't think it will take him long.  We have transfer windows on the horizon that he will seek to be active in...and my sense is that we will only get stronger.  Bottom Line:  I have NOT thrown away my "Proud History, Bright Future" scarf!!!!

2.  Fuse:  We are working on those areas.

3.  peterw:  I have missed you....thought you had deserted us!!  The Manager.

4.  Andy Poole:  I guess I was not clear in my last post on this issue.  Obviously there is always some consideration in the back of our minds re. contingencies.  My point was simply that having contingency plans and having people willing to respond to those plans (people who are not associated with the Club) is a hit and miss proposition.  We can have all the Plan B's in the world but if the person in Plan B isn't a willing participant, the plan is no good.
