A world where accuracy is prefered to bluster; I leave the latter to those better practiced.

You can't get more accurate that the total number of points. It's a fact. Four clubs have got more points than us during the Premier League's history. We are therefore its fifth-most successful club and no manner of disinformation and the sort of silly little digs at which you're an expert can disguise the fact.

We're more succesful in the Premier League than Blackburn are we? Does winning it not count these days compared to amassing points over 20 years?

As I tried to explain to you above, total number of points is only valid if everyone has played the same number of games. It's like being 2 points clear at the top of the league when everyone has got 10 games in hand.

And what is "wonderful world of Smith" if it isn't a silly little dig?

I'm learning from the master. Does that mean Liverpool aren't the most successful club of all time because they've been in the top division longer than Wigan? While you're figuring that out, tell me how many clubs you think have been better than us since 1992.

The goal posts are now in the street outside the ground you've moved them that far.

The initial post was in response to GH's remarks about us being a 7th-11th side and was about points earned in the PL era and you reckoned that we are the fifth most succesful team. How does that square with an average league finish of 8th when, as MasR says, we've only finished 5th or above 3 times the last time in 97? The fact that we're one of a smallish number of sides who have been ever present is something worth remarking on but our recent record is 8,8,16,6,10,16,11,6,6,6. Seems to me Gerard was being generous.

I'll take your word for it.

Randy is still investing as well ...    spent loads of money in the area where my friend works.

Is Bergues coming regardless of being the No.2 or not?

If the players are unhappy let say the 4

John Carew - maybe fell out in Lyon, but he might calm down by now as he love playing for Villa and is settled. Gerard might move him on.

Brad Friedel - might not be happy getting irregular football at Liverpool, but he had grow into one of top goalkeeper in premier league. Gerard will keep him as he got no other option apart from Guizan.

Emile Heskey - might not be happy to leave Liverpool. Gerard will probably try to get best out of him, and if he can't he might move him on.

Steven Warnock - he is very young player at Liverpool, Gerard will keep him as he would have established himself.

All the others players wouldn't be unhappy as they never play or work with him.

As it's Friday, it's probably a welcome and pre-game conference.
