I'm going just down the road to watch the Mikes (Boldmere St Michaels) play Lutterworth Athletic in the FA Vase. I was a choir-boy at the church 64 years ago (everyone say Aaah). Only £3 for pensioners - I might become a regular next season. You never know.

tough priest? Oh, Aaah. I trhought you said Aaagh.

Hi Again,

I didnt put any info on at first post as I did not want to advertise another club on your site without permission.

Rushall Olympic are taking part in the NON LEAGUE FOOTBALL DAY this saturday, if you come down to dales lane with a pro club season ticket or normal ticket you can get in for £4, or £2 cons. plus 1 ticket which gives you £1 off another game

Rushall (just outside walsall) Play in the Evostik South League, this fixture is against GLAPWELL.

Would be great to see some Villa fans there as it really is a great little club. Please give this site a mention if you do come along.

We are on facebook (search rushall olympic football club) and twitter - website www.rofc.co.uk

Cheers guys - all the best for the season and manager

Club Info:

Rushall Olympic, Dales Lane, off Daw End Lane, Rushall Walsall, WS4 1LJ

Opposite the Royal Oak Pub

Drink beer and get on the pitch?  I didn't know you were advertising for players.

ROFC Dan, do Rushall still have that horrible jobsworth of a secretary who got Tamworth chucked out of a Birmingham Senior Cup game a few years back because of his anally retentive knowledge of the minutae of the rules?
It was about -2 and chucking it down that night, I caught a horrible cold and it counted for nothing!

I've not forgiven him you know!

Dulwich Hamlet for me too

Fisher Athletic are my local team ( Fisher FC now). The Bash Street kids from Bermondsey are the traditional bitter rivals of Dulwich "Hamlet" ( a hamlet in Brixton??).

Don't they ground share now?

I'm off to watch Croydon Athletic myself. Hopefully I'll be offered £3.50 to spill my tea in the 27th minute and become part of a global sporting controversy.

I think there needs to be a non-league post-match thread on Saturday afternoon. I am weirdly excited about all these fixtures

If anyone fancies joining our merry band, we'll be at Amblecote for Causeway v Coventry Sphinx. Train from Moor Street, change at Stourbridge Junction for Stourbridge Town. Likely pre-match at the Duke William, about five minutes walk from the station, on the other side of the ring road.

Dulwich Hamlet for me too.

I'll probably pop in The Bishop just down the road from the station pre-match about 2pm.

Excellent Pub Selection Sir. The Duke used to be a very ropey boozer now transformed by the owner of the Plough just down the road from me. If it's sunny get on the Stowfords!
Perhaps worth noting that the 2 pubs nearest Stourbridge's ground are now shut. The Moorings Tavern (slightly down the hill) and the Royal Oak (opposite). Which I imagine now makes it a toss up between the Mitre and the Duke for the nearest.
