Well I don't know it rules out a lot of candidates.

It is a shame they seem to think it of vital importance that the manager has managed in the Premier League. Limits our view unnecessarily.
Agreed..Mourinho, Wenger, Ferguson, Hiddick, Grant, Jol, Houlier, Benitez and Sven would all have been dismissed from our list at some time under such a policy.

From this, I'd say Houllier is the most likely choice.

Sven would be a fucking disaster. I'd rather have Dave Jones than him....utter shite. Yesterdays man.
I take comfort knowing that you are not part of the selection process - are you this decisive in sweet shops?

Ha, a sweet shop. Well done, you're a very funny man. Thank God you're not involved in the selection process either.

Sven, dear oh dear???

They've created a deliberate and classic Catch 22 situation.

Didn't want to sign any players before the new manager is appointed - candidates won't even be interviewed before Wednesday then Oh Look!! we've missed the deadline. Never mind we'll expect the new manager to make do with no decent midfileder or striker until January - then we'll think of another excuse!!

Maybe he interviewed David Moyes after the game.........we could only hope!

Because he's achieved so much in the game. Almost as much as MON...sorry, not as much as MON.

He's achieved more at Everton than M'ON did at Villa.

Nonsense. This distrust of the board borders on the paranoia.

What the fuck do they need an interview for? You know if somebody is good enough for the job or not. If they want it, and they're good enough, then give them the job.

Asking questions such as "How would you treat an employee if they had a bad day at the office?" is ridiculous coming from people who don't know much about football.

And the list that appears on here, is full of crap.

If his heart can still take it,  I would go for Gerard Houllier.

If MON was in the job for as long as Moyes then he would've done. I'd also argue that when Moyes finished 4th, the Premiership was pretty naff outside the top 3, whereas now, Moyes will finish 6-8th, the same as MON.
