These rumours may make the eventual appointment seem a bit underwhelming.

Hitzfelds Wiki page has been re-edited now.

No mention of Villa link anymore.

Not that it proves anything the other way of course...

Anyone can edit a Wiki page - even Blues fans.

Well, on second thoughts.....

I fear that this will go from ITK to WTF and a lot of nastiness between us keyboard warriors before the new incumbent starts his first match. I hope not.

Wasn't the original MON/Randy split an internet rumour to begin with?

Not if you really were, as the horrible saying goes, ITK.

It will be Macdonald, we're taking the cheap, yes man option. Depressing.

I was in a Croatian Restaurant in Sheldon last night and Slaven Bilic was in there with his agent.

Very considerate for these managers advisors to wear big "I am an Agent" badges.

Daily Mail website:

MacDonald confirmed Wednesday’s Sportsmail story that he is to undergo a two-match test when he said: ‘I have spoken with Mr Lerner and we decided, if we wait until after the Everton game, we have a two-week break.

‘If I decide this job is for me, I’ll hopefully get an interview, speak to the owner and pass on my thoughts about how to take the club forwards.

‘If it’s not for me, then all the other people being considered will get their interviews.’

All the best managers have a burning ambition. How can KM inspire players when he says things like:

‘I’ve never seen myself becoming a manager,’ he said. ‘I don’t know if I’m going to be better as a manager. People are encouraging me, but they don’t have to make the decision."

Why would we want the face of the club to be someone who is not sure. This is the cheap easy option if it happens. And the fact that after 3 weeks no interviews have taken place because we are waiting for a coach with low self confidence/ambition drives me mad.

I like KM and he is a brilliant youth coach but he is no manager. It feels very frustrating.

The players obviously don't respect KM from the way they played sat, plus he looks like he is a walkover, a yes man to Randy.

If he is appointed we know Randy is cutting back!

Or that there is no manager who is willing to come at the moment who would be good enough?

Would it be better to get a fifth choice manager on a three year deal or Kevin MacDonald on a 9 month contract so we can get a first choice manager next summer?

No it's better to get a manager, not a man whose coached for 16 years, he showed nothing at all Saturday, bad team selection, no tactics and no change because of wrong subs too late.

BUT he may prove that he learnt alot and do really well against Rapid and Everton.

I just fear that the players will get away with what they can with him on charge.
