Hitzfeld would be a major boost for the club & some signing, will it happen ? I really hope so but can't see it myself.

I heard from an ex Blues player (him of "Shit on The Villa" t-shirt fame) some time ago that Giovanni Trappatoni was VP bound. Stephen Ireland, Richard Dunne connection.
I know he fell ill a while ago and this could easily explain the delay.

Would make sense as far as the recent trip to Milan was concerned, but I'm not sure how Paul Tait would be in the loop on that one.

Why are we taking so much notice of this?

Because every Villa fan knows that the next manager is "crucial" to the progression from the strides taken with MON. And if that progression stops now, we could easily slide into a mid-table team ................

I know that, but why are we taking a half-arsed rumour on an internet messageboard so seriously?

The midfielder might be Inler or Behrami?

I still doubt it. In The Tracksuit, On The Bench for me.

Hitzfeld would be a tremendous catch.  Lets hope that this rumour is true.  The guy is a true winner.  What more could we ask for?  Furthermore, he could attract other players.  Fingers crossed......

Hitzfeld would be a great choice and ties in with the rumour earlier today about it being an international manager , I would be thrilled with this appointment and it may well be klinsmann who has recommended him?

Interesting 48 hours ahead I feel!

Has this really all stemmed from some bright spark doctoring Hitzveld's wikipedia page?
