Wasn't the original MON/Randy split an internet rumour to begin with?

Hitzfeld would be a tremendous catch.  Lets hope that this rumour is true.  The guy is a true winner.  What more could we ask for?  Furthermore, he could attract other players.  Fingers crossed......
Can't see it happening. There's only room for one 'General' at Villa Park. What I do like is the probability of those around him learning from his vast experience. A footballing intellectual Bobby Robson?

Hitzfeld stated he wasn't interested in fulham and announced he would retire after 2012 euros but maybe the lure of Aston villa would prove tempting!

It was posted on football rumours. That said if you notice the hopeless crap on there one could assume that some guy made it up and it just happened.

I always thought it was down to him tracing the rumour to its original source at Villatalk and then having a read of a few other threads. His ego was never the same.

1. Just had a read of the Hitzfield wiki page and his managerial  credentials  look pretty good
2. Recommended to RL from Klinnsman, big possibility
3. General (our original one !) stated sometime ago last week that RL had flown to Italy "for a couple of days break" ....neighbouring Swittzerland, where Hitzfiled coaches !
4. If pre negotiations had taken place, there maybe some player negotiations already taken place to sign them next Tues (a la last year with 3 good ones on last day)

All seems quite straightforward to me !

I have my doubts about this, but can I get in there first with a dreadful "Ottmar Empire" pun?

Thanks.

Hitzfelds Wiki page has been re-edited now.

No mention of Villa link anymore.

Not that it proves anything the other way of course...
