...winger Stewart Downing is being rested after playing three games in nine days.

If ever anyone needed a pick-me-up, this is it.

Rumours about Ottmar Hitzfeld being announced as the new manager on Friday

We'd get confused with two people called The General at VP.

Rumours where?

Someone has just changed his wikipedia page by the looks of it. Not that that means a fat lot.

I'd be over the moon with that though.

But then again hilts, Bruce has picked up some cracking players in Central/South America and brought them to England without having any prior knowledge of that market. If you or I could pick out a good player in Europe, surely a professional could?

Of course it can be done.  My point is that a lack of knowledge of the British / European game and players would be a major disadvantage for a manager of an English club, whichever way you look at it. There is no way that Bradley's inexperience in that regard could be construed as advantageous.

He'd be better than any of the others, even Klinsmann.

A team that can pass consistently, can you imagine?

Each to his own, but I'd rather K-Mac to Bradley as i think he's better equipped for the job.

In what way?

Hitzfeld would be an excellent choice, as Klinsmann would be also. I can't help thinking its all rubbish though and come Monday KMac will be given the nod till Jan at the earluest

I would be delighted if this 'rumour' about Hitzfeld is true. Twice European Cup winner, big name to attract players, good European knowledge, exactly what we need.
