...'gamesh'

This is word assocaition, isn't it?  I'd be incredibly perturbed were he to be a suggestion or prediction for our next manager!

Steve McLaren...

Would be good if he hadnt just moved to Wolfsburg. His reputation over here has obviously been dented by his time as England manager, but his record at Boro and FC Twente is very good, if not better than others linked to the job.

Another thing that has been on my mind - Mr Ireland left ManShitty due to feeling unwanted and unloved by his manager so surely he would want to have some idea who his next boss was going to be or at the very least who the club was looking at - he still signed so i assume that if he does know, And i would certainly want to know before i committed myself to a long deal who the boss was to be, he must have been relatively happy with it?

Just a thought

I heard from a good source a while ago that klinsmann was certainly in the frame - would not suprise me as much as it would not piss me off either.

Go on, name your source. Just for a laff
Sorry i can't - but has been pretty good in the past - but not 100% so we shall see

Lets just say he has a very high position within the club - but nothing to do with the playing side
Is it the electrician who changes the bulbs in the floodlights?

I think it is a load of hairy bollocks.

If it isn't then Bradley or Klinsmann.

Am I the only person here who wouldn't be upset if we got Bradley? By no means my first choice but a lot of people are being a bit harsh in pre-judging the man on little or no evidence.

Hookey, I think he signed because he was part of the Milner deal - no more, no less.

I just think as far as Ireland's concerned he was happy to be movng to Villa and is trusting in Randy that if it isn't Mac, then it will be someone of pedigree.

Hope Powell the former England international and Double-winning captain with Croydon.

Alternative Shearer and his elbow.

I was getting my hair cut this lunchtime and while waiting was reading an article about Ireland from a Saturday newspaper.  He said he consulted Dunne and Barry before coming and when he met Randy he knew he was someone who would run a football club properly.  I don't think he has any advance knowledge of the new manager, just glad to get out of the man City circus and confident we're not another bunch of clueless clowns.

I'm judging him on little or no credentials/experience of European club football, as either player or manager.

If this forum can from one week eulogise about the quality of our play and then the following week see relegation as a distinct possibility then I'm sure a bit of prejudging of an managerial candidate isn't really out of place.

I'd give him a chance. There's a lot of assumptions that just because he lives in the USA he knows absolutely zerpo about the Premier League. Doesn't have to be that way. And transfers are easy. Choose your player and let the board fart about with monetary negotiations. Easy.

I'd have some concerns.

Could be Dick Advocaat and Witsel.
