Clue: This guy is 58 when the picture was taken. He would now be in his 60s

I couldn't find a pic of John Sleeuwenhoek without his name printed at the bottom. Does anyone know how he died so young?

"Slogger" was centre half at Villa when I started in 1966. Along with Hateley he was one of the more accomplished players in a struggling side. Son of a dutch paratrooper he made the trip across to small heath, from memory I think it was for £45,000. Knee injuries forced him to retire at 28. I believe he lived round Birmingham after his playing days finished.  He lost his battle with leukemia and died aged 45 in 1989. RIP.

I thought he died of a heart attack while working as a fork lift driver in West Bromwich.

It seems things didn't get any better for the Mwila family- Fred's son died unexpectedly last year.
