If Staunton's let anywhere near my football club again I shall be requesting a personal letter of justification from The General.

As for thommo - well I hate him so I guess that as I hate fergie and wenger that shouldnt neccessarily be a bad thing.

Why do dislike Staunton so much??

The game's all about opinions PMK - I have actually heard him praise us on a number of occasions - and I also remembering him nearlycoming when we got back into the game at Chelsea - 4-4.

I actually would support the appointment more if he bought Thompson in.  The man knows what success is about and is the type of guy to get into the players - a bit like Pat Rice at Arsenal.  He also has a bit of a sense of humour which is also needed at a club.

Jim Davison also has a sense of humour.  Doesn't mean it's a good one and he's not still a prick.

That is rather obtuse.  Firstly, Thommo is more of a comedian than Davidson. Second, Davidson has never won the League and Europena Cup twice.

Let's not judge Thompson on his awful hysterical punditry on Sky Sports
'HE'S BOO-KED HIM JEFF, HE'S BOO-KED HIM!'
If Houllier thinks he's the man for the job, then fair enough.

Wish they would hurry up and announce it, so I can collect my winnings.

The whole thing has become very very very depressing......!!!

The thought of Houllier and Thompson....would rather have Laurel and Hardy, Laverine and Shirley, Jake and Elwood....I could go on!!!!

Not a great thing for those who sit right behind the dugout!

You sound like my 3 year old son when he can't get what he wants.

Surely the 4th official, the subs and the winger and left/right back would be in more danger - depending on his projection strength of course.

I can't believe after that comment you'd give him such high praise Mark.
