Although I don't think Houllier would be a bad appointment, I have a feeling this process is going to rumble on for a fair while yet.We keep hearing people are hot favourites to be appointed, then nothing happens for a few days and they start to drift. It is intriguing stuff, but I still think they'll probably appoint soneone out of the blue, someone we have barely mentioned.

As an aside whatever happened to Jean Tigana, he was rated as the next big thing whilst at Fulham and then seemed to disappear of the face of the earth.[/quoteIs now manager at Bordeaux. Which seems quite a big job given his only job since Fulham was 2 years at Besiktas.
I get the impression we are trying to convince ourselves this would be a good appointment. £100m spent at Liverpool in a time when £100m was a shedload of cash and expected therefore to win the league and he didn't come close to it.
If you don't mind me saying I think Houllier would be an excellent appointment. Vastly underrated manager, tactically spot on and builds good relationships with the players. If it wasn't for his heart problems he would have won the title with us and he'll give you a much better shot at breaking into the top 4 than O'Neil.
to be honest, I would have been happy with Avram G at the start of the season, but he has hardly pulled up trees at West Ham as he?
