If Sven took the position and started well, and another bigger team came in for him, he would fuck right off before the ink was dry. Thats my impression. I want someone that cares about my team, thats in it for the long haul, is hard and fair, and understands the value of money. I want him to want to come to Villa, because he believes that my team should be challenging for honours, and he has a Plan (and a Plan B) on how he is going to achieve it.
McLeish hasn't been mentioned for a couple of pages so I'm returning his hat into the ring with this 'story' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1308228/Alex-McLeish-furious-following-rift-Birmingham-board-1m-deal.html
Ireland and Dunne were good under Sven
Ireland and dunne were good under Sven as was ulrika by all accounts.I think he would be great for us and if beckham came on loan later on then think of the money the club would make in shirt sales and merchandise.Surely of the names mentioned he has to be the man.
Quote from: peter w on September 02, 2010, 12:24:48 PMWhy would Sven be a good candidate? Other than him being neither KMac or Curbishley? He needs to have money to do anything anywhere - see Lazio, Man City, Notts County and without it he isn't good enough. He made his name in Sweden at Gothenburg granted but since then its been money all the way that has built his reputation. Failed with England, failed badly with Mexico, and the same with the Ivory Coast. he will need to work within budgetry restrictions at Villa. Definitely not the man for us. He will bring Beckham with him though, by all accounts. He will not bring Beckham - He can only play for a team where the main kit sponsor is AdidasAnd to be honest why the fuck would we want an aging, one trick pony, underpant salesman in our team

Why do you keep banging on about Beckham? There's absolutely nothing to suggest that he'd come just because we have a has been Swede in charge. And even if he was interested we couldn't afford his wages and he's past it anyway.Reality can I introduce you to east19?
