I wonder what Phil Brown's doing with himself these days.

Well, Klinnsman WAS second choice last time around. That's not a tenuous link.

The others are, frankly, brilliant.

I had a tenner at 16/1 yesterday, Monty.

After my MON as first to leave cashbonanza, I reckon I'm on a streak.

Damn you, you've jinxed it!

I'd only want Klinsmann if he bought Joachim Loew with him,as I think he was the brains and Klinsmann was the....not sure what he was.

I've heard this trotted out a bit recently and I'm not sure I get it.

If Klinsmann picked Loew as his assistant, that would indicate to me that he's not particularly lacking grey matter either. Plus the DFB and German supporters in general all wanted Klinsmann to stay on after the WC in 2006. Loew was the consolation prize.

Kilinsmann could probably teach Young a thing or two about diving  ;)

A Jol and Sid combo would do me nicely

I'd love to see Sid get some sort of promotion.

That's not such a crazy idea, actually. Mind you, Sid's doing such a good job with the youth team I'd like to see him continue it.

Or rather, fall forward Ashley Young.

I am sure he could perfect Heskey's tumbling too.  Tumble forward Emile.

Here's something random.

On Saturday (when Randy had also flown back to the States)  Klinsmann was visiting Seattle Sounders, who are owned by a friend of his, Drew Carey.

Drew Carey is a native of Cleveland, and a close friend of the Lerner family. He also supports Villa.

Although, like they often do over there, not just us

Quote
"Plus, I follow Barcelona in the Spanish League and Chelsea, Aston Villa and Fulham in the English Premier League."

Klinsmann was wanted by Lerner first time around.

Therefore, I put it to you, that what might seem like a tenuous series of links is actually proof that our next manager will be Klinsmann.

I'll see you random and I'll raise you.

Got an email of a cousin in the States who was watching the US v Brazil game last night. Quite unusual under those circumstances for any mention of The Villa to crop up, but it did.

Specifically: about Bob Bradley.  Not in the frame, according to John Harkes (now a pundit over there) who had spoken to both Brad Friedel and a club official. Word on the street is we've confined the search to Italy and Germany.

Is Klinsmann still in the Fatherland or is he back in the US? I have no idea.

Hopefully rules out Svennis though.

Oh, and as for Allardyce: much as I admire his unique approach to man management:

Quote
"Big Chris Samba shit himself in training today. Had a dicky tummy after drinking too much orange juice and couldn't get to the bog on time.

"Luckily I had a spare pair of denim shorts in my office so I showered him, changed him and sent him home in a taxi.

@RocknRollStar83 he was crying as I hosed him down. "Do you still love me, boss??" he whimpered. God love him."

I wouldn't want him anywhere near VP all the same.

Italy and Germany by nationality maybe? In either case, Klinnsman has a house or two in the Vaterland, and if you're unemployed I suppose it doesn't matter.

What Italian would we get though? Perplexing.
