Chris, what was the football like under Sven at City? About where on the spectrum from Bielsa's Chile (cavalier attack to the point of madness) to Dunga's Brazil (suicidally depressing and pragmatic)?

If you get Sven, you had better lock up your wives, mothers, daughters, dogs and cats. He started well at city, but was clueless near the end and he does like to spend lots of cash. One good thing he has never lost a match against fergiescum and his rag army, so you will get at least six points

Cheers

Was he clueless because of the back room goings on and the injuries though? There was all sorts of madness with Elano right back etc wasn't there?

Just putting it out there.

Looking for someone not on the above list because it is depressing me that much!

Have some taken leave of there senses? Sam Allardyce? Give me strength, I’m sure that would alleviate the tricky situation we find ourselves in.

How depressed must you be if the prospect of Tony Pulis managing Villa cheers you up?

To be fair Monty, the football was great to start with, but then Elano was an unknown qyantity and we had been used to watching absolute dross under Beanie Pearce (10 home goals all season), but it went pear shaped as it usually does at city! And yeah tbf to Sven, the boardroom wranglings with Shinawatra didnt help.

I would say though, he seems to know more players in Europe than anyone else and players do like to play for him. He wouldnt be the best for Villa but he would be better than Curbishley or Pulis for example.

You can have David Platt of us though if you want.

I think Glenn hoddle would be a decent punt for Villa

gets tin hat on

The thing about Klinsmann, though, is that didn't he refuse to move from California back to that Germany when he took the national job?

If so, is he going to do that to take a club job?

Then again, who wouldn't?

Ah yes, him for one.

I'd sooner have the mental Corrie David Platt than Spoonface.

Not a Hoddle fan, along with, I suspect, the disabled contingent at VP.

Also, I hate David Platt. So do most of us now. To an outsider it must seem illogical as he was a great player for us, but ever since he left he's spouted pure poison about us and nothing else.

Klinnsman had no trouble moving to Munich for the Bayern job. He didn't think it was necessary to move back when German manager as that is, pretty much, part time. Club management is different, and he knows it.

I genuinely cannot understand why Simon Grayson isn't on that list.

Not managed outside the third division, though, has he?

It doesnt....the fact that I would prefer him to half the names on the list doesnt either.

Before I go into outright depression I might point out that 57.4% of the above votes are for 2 managers we wont get. Moyes not interested and Ajax wont let Jol go.
