Is that signed 'The Big Sam - via twitter'  by any chance?

I'd like to see the odds on McLeish shortening, that would get the bastards worried.

Randy will be in the UK tomorrow. Things should be clearer then.

Do you reckon he's popped back home to pick up Bob Beamon or whatever his name is over the last day or so?

We should jump at the chance to appoint Bob Beamon - 8)

That would really require a big leap of faith.

Klinsman for me-tap into the young german market as the players there are not madly overpaid and generally speak english

Where's the Domenech option?

He's achieved more in his career than Klinnsman!

Just looking at the others options is so depressing!

Little chance of him coming but would like Pelligrini who did a good job at Villareal on little or no cash and did ok at Real. Problem is I suspect it would be a lot harder to persuade all those unknown Latin American gems to ply their trade in B'ham in the winter than on the Costa Blanca.

Dunno if its already been said on the thread (and I ain't gonna read back through all of it) but if Randy Lerner was serious about the whole Proud History, Bright Future thing then he must appoint Martin Jol or someone of his ilk.

Bob Bradley will be new manager but he can go kiss my Ass! one lucky draw against a poor team does not make you worthy of the mighty Villa!!! please please let Jol or Klinsman be appointed!

Manuel Pelligrini could be a possible manager as he is out of work since losing Real Madrid job unfairly. I would love to see more South American players :)

File Bradley, Klinsmann & Domenech under 'No Fcuking Way'.  They're all bobbins.

Martin Jol is the man we want.  Well, I want anyway.

Give the job to Tim Lovejoy, he'd be great.

If it's entertainment we're after, we could do worse than Bielsa.

I really do think we're stuffed. The jobless manager list is so depressing. The appointment we make will be unambitious and desperate .6th will become 10th will become 17th.
I hope Randy pays the required and makes an appointment that fills all of us with just a little hope for the future.

How the fuck are we stuffed? The season hasn't even started and some people are ready to slash their wrists. Obviously the timing is dreadful but the club isn't folding is it? We can hire a new manager, and this squad as it is, is good enough for a top 6 finish. We need to give Randy the time to hire the right person. Some people are talking like it's 2005/06 again. Get a grip. We are in so much a better position and while there will be some disruption, it doesn't mean a new manager, hopefully a reputable and inspired choice can't keep us going along the path of progress again.

I liked the one last week too:

"I'm starting to think Steve Sidwell is a figment of my imagination."

Complete with a perplexed MON staring straight back at you. Great picture.

Why would Jol swap Ajax for us? Why would he achieve any more here than he dod at Spurs for which he was sacked?

The sad truth is that there are no outstanding candidates. Pelligrini might be worth a whirl, but would be a big risk and would upset the English ethos which MOn has rightly, and carefully, cultivated.
