If Lerner's heart is still in it and there is cash to spend (just not for MON) then I reckon Moyes would join.
Why would he leave one club with fuck all to spend for another one? Best manager in the Premiership though. I like your thinking.

Perhaps Lerner just didn't fancy giving O'Neill anymore money to spend in case he wasted it like he did with Sidwell,Shorey, Reo Coker, Harewood etc?

Maybe it was fuck all money for MON ? Cant believe a new manager would have nothing to spend.

The percentages are more likely to go with Martin Jol rather than anyone else we can realistically get as MANAGER. I'd be very happy if we managed to get Jol and it would rectify a lot of things and can make us progress; plus, he'd reassure everything and I don't think any of our players would question their future. Also, he can just tell spuds that they're too small to sign Ashley Young hehe.

Moyes in a fairly derogatory way has said he would not manage villa even if unemployed, on his Twitter account.

Bradley is the total unknown.

Klinsmann would need good coaches around him but might be an exciting prospect and very well respected by players, and certainly the biggest name we would have had as manager. His all round knowledge of the game would be interesting to see.

Just so you know that isn't Moyes. Just some guy pretending to be. There are a few people mascarading as him but he doesn't have a twitter account.

FFS.....Klinsmann..........these idiots on here are the supposed experts who said that MON was tactically inept.Well he is Mourinhio in comparison to Klinsmann.Low was the brains not Klinsmann.

To be quite frank, i think all those anti-MON posters should have the good grace to stop being so smug on here and be a bit constructive in their points.

For the people who think Klinsmann has the credentials to be a top manager in the immediate future, why?

I mean FFS, you might as well give the job to David Platt.

Hi guys,

Everton fan here. I come in peace honestly! First off really sorry that this has happened to you, especially at such a shitty time of the preseason. I'm an Everton fan but based in Brum so have always had alot of time for your boys.

Just thought i'd make comment on the Moyes idea. I just can't see why Moyes would leave Everton at the moment when he's finally assembled such a strong side at Goodison and has just secured the likes of Arteta, Cahill and Rodders to long term deals. When he leaves us I think he'll be making a step up not a sideways step, that's not supposed to be an insult at all,I just think that with both our current squads, our history, our recent records that we are pretty much in exactly the same boat.

For me I think that if you are going to go foreign then Bob bradly would be a cracking manager, as would Martin Jol if he played ball. Hiddink has been mentioned but he's just started at Turkey and has already turned down the Inter job this summer so can't see that being a viable option. Billic mentioned a fair bit as well but i'd be worried about how he would cope at club level.

Any

in an ideal world you are right.

However, if we are prepared to pay him a million or so more a year than Everton can he'll be off, money talks in football.  I would have hoped he would also have more to spend at Villa than Everton.

Some fans weren't happy with 6th place and 6 points off that 4th spot so i can't see those same fans being happy with whoever we appoint.

Unless randy is willing to invest more money i don't see how anyone we get can take us further.  City have unlimited funds, spurs have champs league money and it looks like liverpool are sorting themselves out.

I know. It's almost as if his time at Bayern never happened. He was utterly disastrous.

I think people are just becoming star struck and want a famous name regardless of his credentials.

Fair enough, each to their own I guess but Moyes has never been one to go after money and though we may not have huge amounts to spend on transfers our chairman at least releases all the money made from sold players, which if certain rumours are to be believed could be one of the factors in MON's exit. Either way I can't see Moyes leaving now simply because of the squad he has now built, plusI can't see the club wanting to enter into any sort of negotitation at ths late stage.
Good luck anyway, horrible thing to happen at this late time

Appointing Bradley would be a silly move. This season is almost certainly a write off, there is very little chance we're going to finish higher than 6th.

I'd go for a bigger name, someone like Jol or Klinsmann on a deal that gives us a get out clause next Summer - then look for a more permanent manager.

I'm not a Klinsmann fan, but atleast he'd give us a buzz back - it would certainly raise spirits. That's what we need. A Bob Bradley or an Alan Curbishley type would just deflate spirits further.
