I am a little concerned that Friedel is beginning to look his age.

My concern is not helped by the fact that Guzan is not looking like the 'real deal' after some poor displays last season in the Cups.

While I think Friedel has one season left in him I am not sure there are any more left in him at Prem level, so should MON be looking at a new keeper (as well as a top striker / right back / creative midfileder) ?

I think he should be myself.

Merv just mentioned Boaz Myhill on the transfer thread.

He's one I'd look at definitely.

I agree with what you say about Friedel and Guzan but we could just about manage another season before we go out and sign a new one so it's a need but not as immediate as the midfielder or right back.

Friedel was fine last year, he can manage another one no problem.

Nothing to worry about until next summer I'd say.

I agree that Friedel's got one more season in him.

West Brom have offered £1.5m for Myhill, which Hull are considering.

Friedel is still good enough, with Guzan (admittedly with a couple of dodgy displays) good enough to replace him when the time comes.

It's one of the positions I'm most comfortable with.
