Take Bale out of the equation who I think will end up injured a lot because of his style of play and because he will be targeted with double marking etc and Van Der Vaart whose heart isn't really in it, and I think they are actually a very ordinary team. Modric does it sometimes but is not as great as some make out for me. In hindsight, they played some big names in the CL who are going through very fallow patches. Talking of empty and soulless achievements, that is exactly how I view Man City's season. It must just be me, but there is something about watching them that is just so empty and 'antiseptic' - dreary, unexciting football played in a stadium completely devoid of any sort of atmosphere or character.

I think Modric might be off this summer anyway.  He'd be a great buy for a team like Man United, in fact I'd be surprised if Lord Taggart hadn't tapped him up already.

Modric and Bale would be very good signings for United. As would Milner and Young still.

Anyhow - Man City - seriously how are people lauding this as an achievement? After all that spend, the very least they should manage is champions league. With United only on 76 points, I would be gutted if I were a city fan that they are not right up there with a chance of winning it.

for half a billion, i would want to win the whole lot along with an oscar and the nobel peace prize...

and to do it by putting the opposition into a comatose state and then grabbing a goal makes the outlay, even more ridiculous...

i dont respect man city enough to hate them... their achievements, which will come due to the ridiculous amounts spent, are tainted...

but on the bright side, all those mouthy spuds fans who took the piss out of me for us only being in the europa league will be getting a bit of stick back...

Blimey, a Richard post with full-stops and no ...'s at the end! Fair play!

A Hearts fan just tried to get at Lennon after Celtic scored their second.

Got pretty close to him, as well.

There will be ructions.

Love him or hate him nobody deserves the treatment Lennon is getting.

A replay showed the Forest player giving it the full Busquets.
