At least we can't finish 20th (barring a ten goal swing in West Ham's favour in the next three games).

but if Villa were to lose the final three and West Ham win the final three, the 10 goal swing wouldn't take much to happen. A couple of 2-0 games on either side and that's all  that it would take...
I don't think it will happen, but the goal difference is a bit of a red herring.
Just like if Blackburn were to win the next game and us to lose, they would go ahead of us because the goal difference would be naturally "eroded"!

We have had another lucky week with only one of the teams below us winning, so nothing to grumble about!

Milner looked good in the second half playing in the centre (alongside barry).  I even noticed that the city fans gave him a few appreciative applauses when he spread a few excellent balls out wide.  Makes a change from the grief they usually give him.  He could improve further if they allowed him to be more of a box to box midfielder rather than merely sitting in De Jong's position.

However its probably best to save that for when he returns to villa (fingers crossed).

Lucky week? I admit we're far from excellent, but the teams below us are only there because they too are shite.  The fact they haven't picked up great results is no surprise, and neither is our defeat to be honest.

The final game of the Eredevisie in a fortnight should be a cracker, 1 point seperates Ajax and Twente who play each other at the Amsterdam Arena in a winner takes all game.

Agreed.  The thought of running the gauntlet down there, is not a happy one.   I also think that the fact Bellamy has played for them this season, on Man City's whim so too speak, is morally wrong as well.   I know for a fact that they haven't got the means to pay his wages, so why should they benefit from him being in their team?.   It's slightly different having a fully fledged international on loan, as opposed to youngsters from the Premier League.

Norwich, QPR and Reading or Forest in the play offs would suit me fine.  Three nice away days there and if they can replace West Ham, Blackpool (just for Holloway) and Wolves that would be excellent as well.

There are few teams in the world I hate more than Cardiff City. The amount of idiots around here who support 'Cardiff and Manchester United' is insanely irritating. Delia Smith being on Match of the Day every week is the lesser of two evils in this case.

If QPR get points docked they'll both come up.

QPR have been charged with seven regulation breaches and a hearing to determine their fate will take place between 3rd-6th May.

Looks like results went our way, it would take something really remarkable for us to go down now - time to enjoy the weather and stop fretting.

21 minutes gone... Cardiff 0 Middlesbrough 3.

If they lose and Norwich win later, Norwich will be promoted today.
