My word.

They have a lot of courage in the ranks and they will run through a brick wall.

I hope you all realise that you "should defend like a defender."

Fair play to Brighton and yes Park always seems to play well, wish we could have him.

I was trying to stay awake while listening to the game on the radio.

Every time they needed to leave the commentary for five seconds and get a score from the Championship, Alan Green became enormously arsey about it. As if it was astonishing that any human being would want to hear about anything but The World's Most Important Football Match. He even apologised sarcastically at one point, saying he hoped nobody was being distracted.

I think the Champions' League hype has really damaged his already frail mental health

I heard him say "that's the championship, but this is the champions league" in that voice he does. He really is a complete tool.

Watford-Norwich sounded a much better game.

Leeds lost, hurrah. Apparently there was some other game involving a Northern team but I haven't heard much about it as the media has allowed it to keep a low-profile.

I'd love them to do a totally accurate trailer for the match.

"This game is effectively over!! With nothing at stake, will Real Madrid's stiffs bother to score any more goals?? Or can Spurs scrape an utterly meaningless result and spin it as some kind of face-saving triumph? Who gives a toss??"

No, they'll spin it for all it's worth.  It will become "Spurs' arrival as a dominant force competing with the elite".  It will be an "invaluable lesson for seasons to come". It will be "no disgrace" a "step in the right direction"..."mixing it with the big guns and not out of place".  In fact, if ITV are in the mood it will be as good as actually winning the thing, just like they beat (lost to) Milan in the San Siro with Bale scoring the best hatrick ever to snatch that victory.

This will not be a night for saying Spurs are not god enough, or, when push comes to shove they always fuck up.  Nor will there be a mention of next season's UEFA cup qualification being seen as progress.  I also very much doubt they will mention Harry's 'self assessment'.

Vidic by a mile

I was quite shocked by Bales Prem stats this season...something like 6 goals and one assist I think? Quality player but the Milan games are living long in most people memories obviously.

Vidic for me too. Quality defender and holds a curse over any referee daring to send him off.
