Bravo Jose 4-0.
His pedigree in Europe is unrivalled.

I always like him.  His former assistant, André Villas Boas is doing a great job at Porto.

Might be good to get him now.

One thing I will say about Good Old Harry is that he has taken what was a right tonking with dignity.

Imagine the incredulity of the likes of Ferguson and Wenger, spitting bile and venom around and blaming everyone from UEFA to the Madrid tea lady.

I agree. I thought the Spurs players did the same, accepting the defeat with dignity and a recognition that they are not, for the most part, on the same planet as Madrid..

They've had a good run, beaten some good teams, then got tonked by one of the European greats.  I'd have settled for that in our first Champions League campaign if we'd ever actually managed to hang on to 4th place.  It's got to be better than losing to Vienna every year.

What, you mean like last season, when Wenger's team lost 4-1 in Barca and all Wenger did was praise the victors and call Messi "the best player in the world, and by a distance"? Yeah, real bitter.

It's all a load of bollocks, anyway. Get rid of the group games, only allow Champions in....and perpetual entry for former winners.

Its not a bad effort, but when you compare it our first exprience of European Cup football, then its all a bit meh.

That was quite out of the norm for old Arsene though wasn't it? I think even he was blown away by what he saw, and quickly came to realize that it wasn't worth spouting any of his normal bitter bollocks. Messi that day was super-Human. Nobody could have disputed that. Didn't Wenger call him a video game player or something like that?

I would settle for a Europa League place at this present moment in time.
