The 4 - 0 loss flattered Spurs, it should have been more.

To be fair to Spurs, they did very well to get to the Champions League quarter-finals. It's going to be a long time before we get there.

Now however, they can fuck off back to eleventh place from whence they came.

This is just outstanding:

Being a miserable bastard the defender tracking back with the attacker should have covered for the GK when he sailed past him as if he had carried on it would have been an easy clearance and the striker would have been offside. Instead he turned back to the edge of the area. But good finish otherwise.
It wasn't fantastic defending, but that doesn't detract from the perfect technique he needed to come up with to volley it first time from there.

Great finish, but I still like our Stan's better vs Derby. Especially on his weaker left peg.

What's the deal with the second round being spread out over, what was it, three or four weeks, while the quarter finals will be done and dusted in 8 days? :o

Sure, more game on tv not clashing with each other means more money but why didn't they do the same for this round? Running out of free midweeks before the end of May or summat?

Didn't he win the League Cup with Spurs too?
Nope. Ramos did.

Ah, my mistake.

And they sacked him?!

IIRC if you took Ramos's league results for the 2008 calendar year, they had played 35 games and had about 36 points. After winning the cup I think he only had about 3 other league wins until sacked 3 months into the following season in which they had not won one league game at that point.

Wow, so does that mean when Redknapp took over from Ramos they were in the bottom 2 of the league? I'd not heard that before.

ah, you can't beat the yids getting a hammering. I watched the 2nd half on a iphone (spit) down the pub and even on that you could see jabba the hut's vein's bulging as the 4th went in.

Do you really think he was being antisemetic? Or are you posting that for effect?
