Shocking stuff from Inter.  I don't think i've ever seen an Italian team defend so badly in Europe.

No sympathy from me though, I'm still bitter about 1990.  Bastards.

Fuckin Harry Redknapp, he's never won anything and left almost every club in financial ruin.

Hmmm.
We'd have won the FA Cup with a semi final line up of Barnsley, Cardiff and Olbiyun.

(although i had forgot he won that)

Honestly, I wouldn't bet on us, even in those circumstances.

I don't know. The two times they played Spurs this season is up there with that defending as well.

At least 1994 made up for 1990 a bit and 1995 (Bozzie) also made up for it as well.

He might have won the FA cup but spending all the wages on the players he bought in that made the win possible also had a big hand in the subsequent meltdown that occurred.

Didn't he win the League Cup with Spurs too?

He also took Southampton down didn't he? It doesn't seem to get mentioned very often, particularly when he is being touted for the England job.

Good manager overall, but not without his faults and not half as good as the media would have you believe.

I'd say it was more to do with being owned by a succession of absolute crooks that did for Portsmouth.  If you look at the profits produced by the sale of some of the players that Redknapp bought, they should never have been in that position.  Glen Johnson sold for £18m, Crouch for £9m, Muntari for £13m, Diarra for £20m, Defoe for £15m, that's an absolute fortune.

Being a miserable bastard the defender tracking back with the attacker should have covered for the GK when he sailed past him as if he had carried on it would have been an easy clearance and the striker would have been offside. Instead he turned back to the edge of the area. But good finish otherwise.

Well they lost £2mil on Crouch as they bought him for £11mil but most of the fees looked large but a lot was to pay off millions owed to other clubs for the players bought previously. They were a div2/3 club trying to pay top 6 top flight wages and fees without the income and an owner willing to absorb the costs but allowing Harry free reign.

We were obviously heading that way but with a better owner and even if Randy has enough I believe he would look towards a good person to carry on with the club rather then even dodgier owners.

It wasn't fantastic defending, but that doesn't detract from the perfect technique he needed to come up with to volley it first time from there.

IIRC if you took Ramos's league results for the 2008 calendar year, they had played 35 games and had about 36 points. After winning the cup I think he only had about 3 other league wins until sacked 3 months into the following season in which they had not won one league game at that point.
