What a bunch of twats in the crowd in this game tonight.  USA fans chanting during the minutes silence for Japan.

Westwood was really impressive for Ireland tonight. Came for crosses, good with the ball at his feet (has some distance with his kicks) and made a crucial save. Havent seen that much of him but considering he is a free transfer is one definitely worth considering for the number one jersey at Villa Park next season.

Argies held by USA despite playing well.  Bradley had a good game, well involved in holding out.  1-1 final score.

Pandev nearly gave Dicky Dunne twisted blood on a couple of occasions.

Kevin Doyle out for two months with a knee injury.

You have to say, that looks like pretty good news for us.

I know, it must be a first for medical science where injured players recover. It all points to a massive conspiracy to hoodwink Villa fans, Houliier has wanted to play Chris Herd at centre half all season but has not had the excuse until now.

So the Welsh crowd didn't show much respect to God save the Queen. Clearly they are not aligned with the pride of the Union.

However it is strange that only the English football/rugby teams go for the Union Anthem and this sort of game highlights the need for an English version.

Five players released by England for Ghana friendly

Lampard,  Rooney  Cole ,Terry and Dawson have been released by England from the squad for Tuesday's international friendly with Ghana.

All five started Saturday's 2-0 Euro 2012 qualifying win over Wales.

England coach Fabio Capello has suggested he will change his entire starting XI for Tuesday's home match.

In addition to the released players, Kyle Walker has returned to Aston Villa after being ruled out of the game with a groin injury.

Oh no Capello has to appoint another captain for this game...no doubt he will mess that up!

Hopefully Kyle's  injury is not too serious.

Nobody watching the boat race then?

The BBC's flagship sports broadcast.

I hear it's Oxford v Cambridge in this year's final. Who did they beat in the semis?

Celtic and Rangers.

He's already said that it will be a completely different first XI. So they certainly won't be starting.

Neymar looks rather good for Brazil. Even if he does have silly hair.
