I don't mind the clubs that used to be league clubs, and have since gone bust and started again, doing well. Even if I didn't particularly like the original club. Hoolie Halifax are top of the league and I think good for them, for example.

I am willing to make an exception for AFC Small Heath 1875 when Blues go under (Fingers crossed).

I like to see all the ex-league teams do well. Well, most. So i'd like to see mansfield do well. Although i have to admit i don't really care. but i do like to see the ex-league sides bounce back. Apart from Wrexham, they're Welsh. but so are Newport and I want them back.

I'm the opposite, despite it meaning that the division Tamworth are in is cluttered with ex-league clubs all thinking they are better than this and all convinced they are only there "on loan" and will "piss this tin-pot league"! (There are exceptions, the Darlington fans seem to love it down here, most of the ones I spoke to prefer it to the League).
I love it when a "proper" non-league club pips all the ex-leaguers to promotion, I even half celebrated Stevenage going up, and I hate Stevenage, but it kept Luton down and that's good.
How much did you celebrate when Burton got promoted ;)

Oh by the way, is Darlington's the biggest ground in non-league history? Twenty-five thousand. Good luck filling that!

Not in history, grounds like Kingstonians used to hold much more, but it's certainly the biggest in recent times.
When we played up there in the FA Trophy the 'crowd' was 477. There were 28 of rattling around the away end (it wasn't segregated, we just decided to take over a stand).

I have never had a problem with Burton, they are not Tamworth's traditional rivals (that would be Nuneaton, Atherstone and, to an extent, Stafford Rangers) they just became convenient rivals in The Conference as the closest club.
Always liked away trips there for obvious beer reasons.

I thought you would hate Burton as the Home of Lager.

Also the home of Bass, which in my early days of drinking was just about the only decent beer you could get around Tamworth.

Who cares about the next two years? I'm only interested in the allocation for the 2376-7 season, by which time I fully expect Clyde to be knocking on the door.

Yes the beer makes it a popular away day in league 2 would recommend it if Villa get drawn there in the league cup - and they've got terracing behind the goal!

Nice merge mods except my Clyde post now makes no sense! It was about Scottish clubs' Champions League allocation. Fascinating, eh?

Six Premier League games today, all kicking off at 3.00 p.m.

I'm feeling all nostalgic, think I might tie a scarf round my wrist and commit some random acts of vandalism to celebrate.

Blimey I am conjuring up an image of a skinny, pimple faced youth with a "feather cut", tight jeans, red socks and loafers.

Am I close? :)

147 unbeaten home games in a row for Jose Mourinho now with Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real. Whatever you think of him... that's a phenomenal record. If they keep it up he will be 150 unbeaten by the time Barcelona visit in April.

9 years in four different big European leagues without a single home league defeat, it's almost unbelievable.
