Barca deserve at least a draw, they should have been out of sight by half time.

Depressing to think how we are a million miles away from that - I suspect we could barely cope with two games a week, never mind playing to that sort of standard

Bloody hell.  Pity the poor media: after last might's Tottenham wankfest, they've now got to do it all over again for their north London neighbours.

A black cloud passed through my mind then.  Champion's League Final. Tottenham v Arsenal.  At Wembley.

Barca could still quite easily win the next leg 3-0 though. If they'd taken all their chances it would have been a walkover.

Arsenal deserve the plaudits but anyone who watched that game could see how advanced Barca are compared to Arsenal. At times they were unplayable. They seem to suffer from the superiority complex their football dictates, however.

If Arsenal try and defend that lead they are going to get steamrollered.

Few teams I have ever seen could play to that standard so its no disgrace, Arsenal are miles ahead of most in the world and Barca were miles ahead of them.

I think Makoun could play for either of those teams and not look totally out of place.

However, he doesn't quite have the players around him at the Villa (unfortunately!).

Hope Makoun doesn't become another JPA - an excellent player, but we bring him down to our level.

Good game that, I was watching it on a Chinese stream... the commentators sounded just like Greedo from Star Wars, still I think Barca will easily win in the camp nou!

Barcelona are as impressive defensively as they are at keeping the ball. When they lose it, it's hard to believe how quickly they get the ball back again. You wouldn't think that from a team of "stars".

Intersting view. I would like to hear Siggy Freud's take on this phenomena!

Sorry to disagree are you seriously saying he is as good as Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets !!!! If he was that good he wouldnt have been at Lyon for the past 3/4 years

Fair play to Spuds, I cant get my head around some on here wanting them to lose to an Italian club

Then, you're frankly mad.

Then you're a small minded wanker if we're going to resort to petty insults
