Didn't they take 35k to Wembley for the Leyland Daf and Auto Windscreens finals

I heard it was 10,000,000.

????

I heard that so many noses were wanting to travel to Wembley, they had the whole kaboodle, twin towers and all, sailed up the Grand Union canal and deposited at Bordesley for the day.

I'm willing to bet that they will sell their allocation.  They have shit support and their fans are arseholes but they will come out of the woodwork for this.

I bet you if I fancied going, I could get a ticket, easy.

Go on then I dare you.  ;)

I'd rather pull my head clean off my shoulders.

Provided they don't win the bloody thing, I actually think there is more comedy value in them having got to the final than being knocked out in the semi final.

You know that they'll balls-up their ticket allocation; find the most crass ways imaginable to rip-off their fans; realise that they still have a contractual obligation with the Kumar brothers to buy their Wembley suits from Mark One; and a myriad of other ways to embarrass the city whose name they purloined.  And that's before they step on to the Wembley pitch...

The only thing I will have sympathy with them for. They're bound to do it.

It'll be something forcing those who buy a ticket to buy a Wembley commemorative gold double bollock badge at 150 quid or something.

Enjoy it Blose. Come on guys, be gracious.
Maybe they'll give us a final to remember. Like when Francis was crying with snot coming out of his nose.

Seriously, Arsenal are under pressure to win something and Blose are fucking rubbish. I wouldn't even waste money betting on them, whatever the odds. They probably wont even touch the ball more than 20 times and 10 of those will be kick offs..

You have a wonderful way of putting things into perspective.  Cheers.

Will be interesting to see if the new board use this as an excuse to rip off their fans as much as Gold and co would have done.

In their day you would only have been able to get a Final ticket if you went on the Official Coach (£46) from the Official Car Park (entrance £12, parking £28) having eaten the Official Fry Up (£21.50). You would then only stop once on your way to Wembley, for the Official Fight With Millwall Fans At Watford Services (£38) before watching the game and heading back after the Official Heavy Defeat (priceless).

Craig Gardner seems to be developing into a decent midfield player who weighs in with his fair share of goals. Seemed a reasonable deal at the time but not when you consider what a waste Sidwell has been. Let's hope his brother ends up outshining him.

We take the pee out of them been OTT About us, then we have pages about them going to wembley. Not fussed as it might affect there league games and get them heading down. We are bigger and better than them, lets not sink to there level. Nod polite as they go mad and just let them have a momment in the limelight before they disappear again. UTV

Late post is late... but

Gardner is a very, very average player. No pace, no skill, lacks awareness and is awful at tackling... apart from long-range shots what does he actually contribute?

The only memories I have of Gardner at the Villa is scoring a couple of freekicks (with the help of deflections). I look back now and think what on earth O'Neill was doing insisting on playing him in midfield.

I liked Gardner and was pretty disappointed that we sold him.  Good at shooting, of course,  I think the rest of his game would have developed too, in time.  The goal he scored at Bolton (I think) where he allowed the ball to drop over his shoulder before volleying first time was top, top drawer.

I thought Gardner was a decent midifled player who weighed in with his share of goals when he was with us, and I wasn't the only one.  But our then manager couldn't or wouldn't see it.

We sold him after we signed Delph who is a much better player.

Delph is unproven at this level but with plenty of potential. I just think Gardener is developing as a player and is now central to their midfield which is not what I expected when he left. He is a real threat around the penalty area. Good luck to him as he never let us down on the odd occasion O'Neill gave him an opportunity.

Gardner switched off all the time playing right midfield. Most notably against utd at home when Rooney equalised in a game we were the only side playing until then. He is a poor player with a dodgy temper and a tremendous right footed wallop of a shot. Always a danger, but never class.
