Watching Madrid vs Villarreal and it's a brilliant game, 2-2 at the moment.

Joke red that just an honest challenge.

Gerrard has been getting away with that sort of challenge for years simply because he is 'Stevie G'. It was a red and he should have had many more over the years, let's not forget he also has a habit of falling dramatically in the penalty area so I don't care whether Berbatov dived or not on this occasion.

Hear hear.

The only way it would be better would have been like the time Shearer get sent off against us.

I would argue that they do in this case.

There have been red cards given for far softer tackle than that one.

I absolutely agree.  Maybe if other refs were able to remover their tongues from Gerrard's arse in the past and treat him like any other player he might now be a player that realises that lunging in with both feet off the ground is not acceptable.

I also wish that Radio pundits would make themselves aware of the rules before they start spouting their bollocks about such tackles.

Honestly though, as much as Ronaldo can act a prick, he really is sensational. We already know Messi is, but for Ronaldo to do that in Spain after having done pretty much the same thing in England is quite remarkable. For me, both of them to achieve true immortal status, they have to lead their country to a World Cup which will be a big task.

West Ham fan in the office says their fans booed them off the pitch, even though they won. never seen it before. he said the team came out in the second half 1-0 up and appeared to be trying to throw the game.
