No way, that was a definite red without a shadow of a doubt and the referee got it right.
and your view if Reo goes in the same way on Ferguson next week

That would be perfectly legitimate tacke especially if we win thw ball and score from it!

If Reo goes for the same thing, I'll be fuming but when I've calmed down it'll still be clear it's a red.

Just seen the replay, Gerrard jumped in, two feet, off the ground, studs showing, caught the player.

Straight red.

and that does not need to  be a red  against manu ;)

Liverpool, a club I could never feel any sympathy for. I'd love if we went on a run and ended up finishing ahead of them again.

If he gets sent off for it I'll be pissed off.

If he doesn't I'll congratulate him on his fine ball winning and smile warmly at the thought of that objectionable little shit having a reducer put on him.

Definite straight red card, disgusting challenge and he knew what he was doing

Of course, Jim 'no connection to Liverpool' Beglin thought otherwise which just doubly confirmed it was....

That sort of challenge is always a red these days so he can have no complaints but I think he was going for the ball rather than the man. That said, they're a joke of a club at the moment so I have no sympathy.

By the look on his face, King Kenny has been necking piss again.

The challenge was much like Tiote's for Newcastle last night.

As Chris said, he was going for the ball, not the man, but going in like that with two feet off the ground is an almost certain red card, and rightly so.

Oh, and also, it's against Liverpool, so the decision should be applauded.

Looks vacant and somewhat bemused by the whole thing doesn't he....
