What a bizarre statistic - Everton's first defeat away from home since we beat them in August.

Could get even worse tonight, though I'm banking on Arsenal to slam the dogshitters. We really don't want to finish the weekend off in the bottom three.

Just look at Blackpool. Unfortunate to lose today in my book despite City's chances, they play excellent, enterprising football and all work ridiculously hard for each other as a team. If we worked that hard as a team we'd be challenging for the top four.

The most bizarre bit is us having beaten anyone

From the Guardian's online match commentary:

St Andrews is looking a picture as ever. A really depressing, grey, brutalist, Soviet era kind of picture.

Can't slip into the bottom 3 mate even if the knuckledraggers take a point tonight as we have scored more goals than wigan so they would drop into the bottom 3 not us.  Small beer i know but we have to take every positive we can at this time.

Sunderland winning 3-0 today can't be good for Wednesday, they will be on a high, although surely go into the game favourites which away from home could be troublesome.

Thing is they're a weird team too. They can put in a good performance then all of a sudden lose a game like recently against Blackpool that their form going into the game would suggest they should win. We need a point tomorrow, just to arrest the slide. Restore a bit of confidence and we can beat Sunderland.

If Blose don't lose we will be bottom three if we lose and Wigan win, draw or lose by less than us.
