But people things won't always be as appalling as it has been recently.

Randy isn't just going to sit back and let this club rot down a division. If Houllier dosen't manage a win against either Sunderland or SHA, he'll be gone imo.

If total rubbish like Blackburn can be 8th in the league, I'm convinced we can be up there come the end of the season.

It seems that every team apart from the Villa are getting vital points where as we are just canon fodder for any team who has been struggling recently.

My thoughts exactly.

Typical... everyone around us at the bottom has picked up points against tough opposition, what does that say about us? Spineless right now.

Even after the spurs loss we were still just about alright with out heads above water, now dingles have won, West Ham are picking up points, Fulham win, Pie Eaters draw tonight, rags draw after cheating. This has to be the worst week as a Villa fan for a long long time.

We're sucked into a battle amongst the shit teams now, officially.

Wolves fight for the three points at Anfield.

As stated, the worry over relegation is that there might be worse teams in the league but those teams will fight for every point. Our players are not doing that at the moment. Neither did the Newcastle players two season ago.

We could well be bottom in a game or two.

Bottom three but the gods would need to conspire against us for us to be actual bottom with some of the fixtures the others have.

But we almost certainly won't be.

I'm as worried as the next man, and as angry as well, but about 75 percent of the posters on here need to take a bit of a chill pill. Someone referred casually to "as we're almost certainly going to be relegated" in a post the other day.

If this were spring 1940, you'd all be learning German, stacking your wirelesses up at the police station in anticipation and disowning all your Jewish friends already.

Isn't there some internet law about this?

But anyway the difference is in 1940 we could pick up a gun and do something about it. All we can do here is mutter on the sidelines and know what is wrong and hope someone can do something about it. Whether that is the players deciding to have some pride, the manager getting it turned around or the chairman doing what is right, (whatever that turns out to be).

Agree, it's ok people saying that there are worse teams than Villa in the league but they were geared up for a battle from the first game of the season, our eyes were elsewhere. We need to pull our finger out and get back to basics and stard grinding out results. When you look at the likely 1st choice 11 there are not that many fighters there.
