No-one has mentioned Gareth Bale for 30 seconds. Gareth-Bale-world's-best-player. Gareth-Bale-plucked-from-obscurity-at-Southampton-and-snapped-up-for-just-ten-million-pounds. Gareth Bale Gareth Bale Gareth Bale. My predictive text thinks he's called Gary Baldwin

But Gareth Bale turned Maicon inside out....He must be brilliant.  I mean Messi is quite good, but he's no Gareth Bale.  And the same Bale that Onouha had in his pocket for 90 minutes the following weekend.

I'm quite happy for the media to keep on about Bale, as it keeps some of the spotlight off our youngsters and gives them a chance to establish themselves without the pressure and expectancy of dumb journalists.

MK Dons 1-0 up in their Cup replay against Stevenage.

I really want the Wimbledon-MK 2nd Round tie to come to pass.

AFC fans I know don't. they see it as somehow validating MK Dons existence and will also attract some tw@ts looking for trouble. To this day I still don't understand how the FA let them get away with this.

Me too. MK Dons will probably piss all over them. That would be funny.

Stevenage seem to have won the penalty shoot-out, although BBC is being weird.

Thank fuck for that, the hype and AFC spunk-fest avoided for another season at least.

Brazil v Argentina has just kicked off on ESPN.  Ronaldinho starts for Brazil, are Nike still picking the team or something?

Brazil had the best of it, some abject refereeing and Messi just hit the post.  Sums it up pretty much
