It was funny from Cashley. Sunderland now 6th and in positive GD again. I do wonder when we will be back in positive GD.

Almost 4 then.

Sunderland have been fantastic. 5-0 would be about fair.

Attempt at goal

Che = 3
Sunderland = 17

Attempts on Target
Che =3
Sunderland = 9

Has the departure of Ray had a knock on with the players?

Hmm..to watch the Milan derby tonight or not.  Could be a laugh watching Benitez make another hash of things in his 'home' game

This is a strange, strange season.   Anyone seems to be able to beat anyone.

Some will no doubt say it is an indication of a lack of quality, but I say long may it continue.  The procession behind the usual four of recent seasons and perm one or two of the three promoted clubs to go down has become boring.

Indeed.  Far more entertaining!

The trouble is when the dust clears in May this will be what happens still. There has always been shock wins in seasons.

This season has been far more entertaining with all of these upsets.  You'd think Sky would be lapping it up, but they almost seem in shock that their favourite teams getting their noses put out of joint.

You only have to look at the league table to see that it's the most interesting season in years.

It's only a shame we haven't been on a great run, it's as good a chance as we'll get in years to upset the apple cart of the top 3/4/5 whatever it is now

I think there has been a definite levelling out in quality but that the overall standard is perhaps more mediocre than it has ever been. And, yes, it does make it more exciting. One of the problems teams like Chelsea and Man City face is that you can have all the money in the world, but there are actually very few top quality players around on the world scene to go and buy.The World Cup bore witness to that...Knock out the ones who are never going to sign for either of those clubs and it really has levelled things out I think.

Funny how empty the ground was by the end. If this keeps up they'll go back to supporting Cry Pal, Brighton, Reading or whoever they did in the 80s.
