I must  say it was a pleasure to see Shitty get turned over tonight.

Would have to say though you would be disappointed if one of our players hadn't challenged for it.  For once agree with the commentator that if the keeper was brave and went with his hands then it probably would have been a foul, but he would have got clattered

It was a back pass so he couldn't go in with his hands.

Any way soft pen  Johnson flicked the ball to his right and ran straight into the defender

Fair point i spose. I also thought the attempted clearance from the first defender might have come of Johnsons hand before the penalty

Commentators soon  change their tune. 12 minutes ago  "Liverpool are clueless"  now "they came  out in the second half and meant business right from the start"

Just got back in from a great evening at Spotland ensuring that the spirit of the FA Cup is alive and well:  Rochdale 2, FC United 3.   Just like the "real" United would, FCUM managed the win with a Fergie-time winner.

Disappointingly, but perhaps not suprising considering their supporting-origins, there is a quite remarkable level arrogance amongst the FCUM fan base.

They invented non-league football, you know.

Spotland is a fantastic "old school" ground though isn't it?

It is.  Disappointingly we were running very late so couldn't go for a pre-match drink at The Cemetery Hotel, the best pub-right-next-door-to-the-ground I know.

It's a good one certainly.

The Coach and Horses outside Sheffield FC beats it though.
