Inter just standing off Bale too much. You would have thought they would know about him by now.

So depressing how we have gone so far backwards whilst Spurs have flown past us.  We were better than them 2 seasons ago.  Bollocks.

I agree we are way behind, you only need to look at the squads and see that

What a ball from Bale, a year ago he was a real Jonah for them, just goes to show the small margins in football between success and failure.

Can't believe just two years ago Spurs were bottom with two points from eight games and Bale couldn't even win a game when he started.

Just shows how quickly football can change in a short period of time.

Just noticed Bebe has scored another goal from a massive deflection. Did Fergie overpay for a Portugese 2nd division player or is Bebe going to be the luckiest player alive.

Yeah, but if the full-backs were to stick to him he would just kick it past them and be gone before they knew it.
They'd do better pressing up the pitch, sticking two men on Bale, and if he gets more than 10 yards past the half-way line make sure you stop him going past you even if you dont get the ball.

I do hate spurs as a club, but they are thrilling to watch. Fair play to Redknapp. But also a story about sustained investment which I suspect we can't match

Not really. It was the decision to move him from left back to the wing that changed him. Nothing to do with a sudden conversion it was just that the new position allowed him to answer his true potential.

It wasn't even a masterstroke from Redknapp as any oaf could have told you he'd be better suited there. I said it about him and Johnson ages back. Both way more suited to the wing due to being shit in defence.

As much as I hate them they have been excellent in the CL and Bale is looking a player... Admittedly not as good as some in the media say but a better player than Young.

If it means us getting further into debt and the wage bill going up and up I dont think we can or should
