If that was an England player like Gerrard or Terry it would be brushed under the carpet.

Indeed, that brings me onto another Dutch midfielder, one who suffered an assault from a Scouse twat long before any DJ.

And it frequently has been. The comments just go round that "he's not that sort of player" - what, you mean he's not the sort to tackle madly and recklessly like he just has done?

As for De Jong himself, let's face facts. It's the second leg he's broken this year thanks to challenges which are reckless bordering on insane. If he'd committed the same injuries in the same time span driving a car he'd be off the road.

surprise, surprise. Carson fucks up a long range free kick and Man U score from the rebound against the Baggies. One thing that was always nailed on as fan with Carson in goal is that you're sphincter would clench considerably at every direct free kick. And with good reason.

If Kevin MacDonald was such a players favourite, how in the hell did we lose by 6 up there when Wigan are 2 up, and Blackpool have won there. For me, it was the very opposite of showing support for the boss when you turn in a performance like that. The bloke is a great reserve team manager, but thank goodness he didn't get the main job.

Give McLeish credit. He's made that lot hard to beat if nothing else. And their fans reward them every week by showing up in their hundreds. They really don't know how good they've got it right now.

Agreed. For 40 minutes they've more than matched the Arse. I continue to be impressed with the development of Ridgewell. He'll never be great but he's turning into a decent player. At least by their standards.

Stuck in hospital with one of my young 'uns (nothing too serious), listening to Ron Toss rant about Arsenal's "cheating"

Every cloud has a silver lining and all that.
