Scotland scraping past with a win against the football powerhouse that is err... Liechtenstien, a country that has a smaller population than the attendance at Hampden Park tonight. Umm... well, I guess it's an improvement for the jocks considering they couldn't beat another football powerhouse - the Faroe Islands.

That was hilarious to watch. What a bunch of moaning sour faces the Scots are. They were shockingly poor and utterly clueless and it was a delight to watch. Shame about the eventual result though.

What scared me was all the happy smiling faces from the scots in the stands to the players and coaching staff on the pitch. I hope those smiles were smiles of relief and not smiles of beating Liechtenstien...

Argentina beat Spain 4-1 in Argentina. I only caught the second half with Arg winning 3-0 at the time. Spain had some good chances in the match and it could have easily finished 4-4. Pepe Reina fucked up for the third and although Tevez played 60 odd minutes he was limping a lot.

Heard the commentator's say that the Argies hadn't lost in that stadium for 15 years.  Do they play all their home games there?

Caught the last 15 minutes of the match after England’s had finished, it’s worth noting the horror tackle on Alan Hutton who was lucky that he didn’t break his leg. The ref was all of 20 yards away and he didn’t even book there player.

They can't do as they lost 3-1 at home to Brazil in qualifying for the world cup, I think that game was played in Rosario wheras they normally play in River Plates Monumantal(?) stadium, where i'm sure thay have lost as well.

I am doomed to support Aston Villa, Clyde and Scotland.

Comes to something when a last minute winner at home to Liechtenstein is what you have to look forward to.

As with the game against Lithuania we had plenty of possession, but hardly a shot on goal. Might be nice to see players like Commons, Maloney and Dorrans given a bit of a go.

Just seen on the BBC site that Rooney has been left out today.

Pah. Suck it up, man. I've been looking forward to the torrent of abuse all week.

Wayne "never ducks a challenge" Rooney has ducked a challenge.

Everton have been absolutely battered by united this half and now they have gone in the lead.  Karma for them I guess.
