Agreed. Could've been so much worse. So let's enjoy.

Sounds like Liverpool at home only just managed to beat the boggies. I can see Hodgson gone before the end of the season.

It's not nice to gloat, but what the heck. Man Citeh lose to a last minute penalty. Liverpool beating the Boggies one nil almost seems like they lost. Blose throw away a 2 nil lead away from home. This is one of those days that make up for all the other shite football days.

Found this gem on the BBC website:

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini:
"Football is very strange. We played fantastic football in the first half but if you don't score, sometimes you can lose these games."

Those annoyed with Downing's reaction at the end of the Noocassle game keep an eye out for joe Hart's behaviour at the end of the Sunderland game. Double fist pump with Darren Bent and a big hug and pat on the back. Once the game is over, players just don't retain  the same animosity many of us do.

The sight of Habib Beye and his 'glamour model' female partner loading up his Ferrari (I think) 45 minutes after the final whistle also reminded me just how far removed from the fans players now are.

And Kevin Davies' penalty against Blose today is awesome. Excellent balance of power and control. Unsaveable even if Foster had gone right way in my opinion.

Spanish season has started this weekend it was business as usual for Barcelona they were fantastic to watch.  Can't say the same about Real Madrid finished 0-0 it will be interesting to see how they take to Mourinho's style of football.

Why wasn't Richards sent off for the Pen decision. Right in front of goal, brings the man down, last man and denied a clear goal scoring chance and ref only books him.

Lovely miss from Tevez first half though.

One player who impressed me over the weekend was that Dembele at Fulham, the one Blues wanted to sign. He looked very useful, i can see him being a good buy for them.

Is that the one in Black Ferrari and foreign numberplate as I seen it twice this week.

Yes, I think it was black. Not too sure tho as was getting hassled (rightly) by a steward to move my Dad's car as it meant they couldn't get the gates open to release the Everton team coach.

Apart from our goal the highlight of the weekend was Barry (again) being absolutely skinned for the cross that lead to that Sunderland pen. How long before he's dropped by England and Citeh ? Milner looked sullen as well. Oh well 300k earnt since he left us I suppose.

Not a game but another team's player. The press certainly seem to have got it in for young Bebe at Man Utd haven't they? All these stories of him being offered around for half a watermelon and a can of ralgex with no takers and then Utd spunk £7m without seeing him play. He couldn't even make the reserve squad for a game this week. His debut should be interesting to see the reaction.
