I went to a 'other game' on saturday, Bramall Lane to see Sheffield United (who were shocking) against QPR (who look a good team). I was shocked to see that Richard Cresswell still finds employment as a footballer but Adel Taarabt of QPR is far too good a player to be playing in the Championship, he was brilliant to watch and has bags of skill including taking the piss out of the full back with a series of faints and stepovers that resulted in the inevitable foul and yellow card for the defender.

 Its a good job for Newcastle that Man United were miles off the pace or they could have lost by 8 or 9.

I'm amazed that Chelsea and Manure beat West Brom and Newcastle. Maybe next year Sky / ESPN will consider picking opening fixtures that might actually be competitive?

Taarabt is class. QPR a good bet to go up this year I think.

Looks like being a long season for the Barcodes if last night's game was anything to go by. They played 8 of the team that were relegated the season before last so it shouldn't be surprising that they are still crap. Great to see the atrocious Coloccini is still playing for them and that will provide plenty of entertainment this year.

It's just a shame they are playing against Young Boys. They won't be much competition sadly.
