Tbf the tackle was late and high with his studs up, he could have broken the guys leg, definite straight red.

Joe Cole sent off on his debut.  Not the best of tackles but possibly harsh.  Still, its Liverpool so its funny.

Joe Cole sent off, Arsenal's new £10m defender Koscielny stretchered off. That'll make it a fiery 2nd half.

It needs something, it's been piss poor so far.

Don't think you can say it was harsh, it was studs up and late and he quite clearly pincered the guys standing leg with his follow through.  As they've said in the studio, could easily be a nasty knee ligament injury from that, thankfully seems to be ok.

More importantly, neither of these sides look all that so far.  Arsenal without Fabregas and Van Persie just don't look like having enough goals in them (but that will clearly be changed once they're both fit and ready to start) and Liverpool look solid but have no craft on this showing, they still seem totally reliant on Gerrard to make anything happen.

Typically there was always going to be a goal when I'd slagged one of them off.  Goalkeeper was at fault though for my money.

Terrible goalkeeping from Almunia, should be keeping that out, though I've come to expect it.

Shit match so far, though the second half seems to be lightening up a bit. that Ngog goal was very Torres-esque

Well we are better than both of these.

I'm not sure we can say that.  We are better than West Ham, yes.

Great results this week-end for Villa.

All the other teams from last years top seven that we could possibly finish above drew with each other whil Everton lost.

Hurrah, good work Pepe.
