The Chilean miners are at Old Trafford tonight

Must be a punchline in this somewhere......

I hope the fans don't take the piss out of them. It's only a miner distraction and deep down they're good people.

From one sh**hole to another - what have they done wrong?

In the space of 30 secs Rooney delibrately trips a player off the ball and also deliberately handballs it and again is delibrately ignored by the ref.

FT 1-0 to them with Rooney showing he certainly earns his £300 grand a week by scoring once in 6 games and that from the Penalty spot after having how long out with an injury he claimed he hadn't got.

Rooney is still showing respect to the officials. It couldn't have been "Fuck off" he was mouthing at the linesman for correctly calling a foul on Rooneys petualnt kick out at Clichy. Because if he was isn't that a booking or even a sending off.

And now Fletcher has just pushed Webb for not calling a block. Webb just talking to him. He is reffing this like the World cup where he is trying to not book anyone. Aren't refs supposed to impose the laws of the game.

This makes my blood boil. I'd love to see him getting his well-deserved marching orders one day. Are they scared of him or something?

I agree. He said it 3 or 4 times too. Reason 427 why I fall more and more out of love with football every day...

What you can't take away from United is they know how to get the better of Arsenal. He always plays the likes of Fletcher and Park against them as they get in their faces, knock them off their game, and close them down all over the pitch.

I wish we would play like that against them instead of standing off and admiring their ability to play round us. The first half at VP this season was embarassing.

Man ure are looking very good right now, they are still unbeaten and they usually get stronger in the second half of the seaon, they made arsenal look very average yesterday so that doesn't bode well for the rest of us.

I think that the correct and obvious punchline is (stolen from F365):

Just seen those plucky Chilean miners at the Manchester united v Arsenal game. I am trying to imagine the ordeal they went through; the constant darkness, a looming sense of impending death, the smell of burning sulphur and a never ending silence as the worlds media looks on...

...I just can't see them wanting to go back to Old Trafford.

Poor bastards had to sit next to Mick Hucknall. I bet they were begging to go back in the mine.

Just seen the Utrecht line up v Liverpool, wonder if the commentator will snigger when mentioning their no 9 "Wolfswinkel".

Witty though his name is, he'd be a smashing choice for a summer transfer.

Certainly a better bet than Robbie sodding Keane.

I just clicked on the bbc footy website to see James Milner looking at me, it seems he is playing tonight and Stuart Taylor is on the bench, what a life he must have.

Man City: Given, Boateng, Richards, Boyata, Bridge, Wright-Phillips, Milner, Vieira, Adam Johnson, Jo, Nimely. Subs: Taylor, Zabaleta, Kay, Mee, Ibrahim, Chantler, Elabdellaoui.
