Whatever Milner goes for, if he does, Young is worth more in my opinion.

 This is a shameless, and rare, ITK, observation. I was chatting to a veteran Ex England player who has done some work with both Milner and Young.He commented that Milner was incessantly asking him about his International career, seeking tips and advice, and was hugley knowledgeable about the history and mechanics of the game, but wanted to know more.Young by contrast seemed to have his headphones on all the time and ws interested in nothing other than himself.

I was also at a dinner where I sat next to somone who has been "involved" with Youngs career from the start . His opinion was that Young had maxed out at Villa, which was as good as it was going to get for him and that he simply did not have the determination, application and ambition to go further - unlike Milner.

Having watched nearly all of their home games for us , and a good few aways, I rate Milner far higher than Young.

Something of a mis-conception when you take into account Spurs played more long balls than any other PL side last season.

I think Young's much more naturally talented than Milner, and can't believe that we haven't had more interest in him.  I think he'd be a lot harder to replace than Milner to be honest.

Well they're different types of player but I dont really need an inside scoop to tell me what my eyes can plainly see and Young is far more talented than Milner. Milner has other qualities though. I would still be more upset to see the back of Young, who can produce genuine moments of magic far more often than any other player we have.

Milner at his best is a very good footballer.
And he gets close to this level on an awful lot of occassions.

Young at his best is simply epic.
Sadly, he gets close to this level too rarely.

I agree. It is much harder to find players of Ashley Young's ilk than James Milner's (and Milner is a very good player).
