Carew, Young, Dublin, Merson, Angel, Hadji, Collymore, Townsend, Staunton, Houghton, Ginola, hell even Draper are signings i was well chuffed with when we made them, but the one and only signing in over 20 years that was really exciting, i.e. a player that was as good as virtually anyone in his position in the league, a decent age, and no baggage was Saunders.

We were in the lounge of a hote having breakfastl, and he came running in with the paper announcing we'd signed Saunders. i jumped up and spilt my breakfast down my clothes!
DEAN SAUNDERSThe away end at Elland Road for his debut was something else, Wimbledon and Boro away and the two Liverpool league games will live long in the memory.
