Cheers for the link, looks like they ignored any embargo.

In all fairness the kist photo is usually leaked a few days/weeks before so for Villa to keep it under wraps until a few hours before isn't too bad to be honest.

MON was there with a hockey stick watching over every person who had seen the kit prior to launch.

Let's keep this in perspective - it's a kit launch not the budget FFS.  As for the shirt, I like it...and for the first time in God-knows-how long I'll be buying one

In the mean time, I must be one of the few people who actually like it.

I think it looks better on the players:

A deep breath is required, this company are bringing some much needed money into the club, if their paying they can put what they like
on the "strap line"

If its all just too much for you.......dont buy it

The tag line under the sponsor looks really stupid.

Stupid? Absolute crass. The shirt wouldn't look to bad without it.

Agreed.  The tag line makes them look like a walking advert (even more than sponsorship normally does that is).

i didn't mean sack the people that designed the shirt i meant sack the people that organised the unveiling as it's poor planning not to cover the shirt picture until everyone going to work has seen the shirt.  It just makes the who unveiling a pointless waste of money as people was bound to take pictures and post them on the internat.

For the 1st time in yrs I won't be buying it- the shirt looks ok but surely fxpro would have been enough to put on the shirt-the line underneath makes me feel we have sold our soul.

if this is actually our shirt, then i detest the pattern down the side....

if it didnt have that abomination, or the check pattern was a solid blue, then it would be very nice...

dont like the strap line on the sponsor logo either, as it is bad design for the purpose of shirt design....

A few points

- it's a shirt, as someone said, it isn't the budget or the election or something. I'm more bothered in who will be wearing it next season.

- I'm not going to buy it, but then again, I never do, so my disappointment levels are constrained accordingly.

- Don't really care about the sponsor, so long as they pony up the cash, and there's lots of it. As for them looking like "walking adverts" (oops, was that on the GM thread?) - that is kind of the point.

- My opinion of the design is that it is really pretty horrible. Those big check bits are horrid.

1981 retro shirt for me. Served me well for years now. Claret, blue, end of.
