Which brings me to another point. The North Stand work could be paid for by a sponsor of the North Stand. This might not be FxPro but it could be on the table.

If you didn't say that it was Arsenal away I'd be puzzled as to why Cesc Fabregas had rejected Barcelona for Motherwell.

from some research i made for the 2010-2011 season teams wil be making per season:

Chelsea,  at least £11m, Samsung
Man Utd  £20m, AON for 4 seasons
Arsenal  £6.7m, Emirates for 4 more seasons
Tottenham looking for sponsorship, i read about a £50m for 5-6 seasons
Man City  £10m, Etihad for 3 seasons
Aston Villa  £6.7m, FxPro for 3 season
Liverpool  £20m, Standard Chartered Bank for 4 season
Everton  £2.5m, Chang expires at the end of season
Newcastle  £2.5m, Northen Rock for 4 seasons

With 32red we got 900k per season, and all these sponsors are only the main kit sponsors.

If the reported figures are accurate, it is certainly a big step forward commercially, as I suppose was the Nike deal. With the improved attendances, corporate facilities and presumably, corporate 'take', it continues good progress on revenue IMO. Well done to all concerned.

A guy on Arsenal-mania who works for a sports chain has seen the new kit. I quote:

I attended something through work (I have the misfortune for working in Mike Ashley’s dreaded sports chain), entitled the Nike Sports Summit. They are annual things where they teach us about their new products and a major part of this one was the World Cup, the New Premiership ball and funnily enough the new kits next season.

So I have the fun of being able to confirm that both of Arsenalinsider’s mock ups are nigh on spot on. The only major difference in the samples we were shown is that the away shirt has a v-neck collar. I did ask the Nike Rep presenting it about the shirts with the cannon, and smaller Emirates logo, and he stated (but was a bit hesitant as he claimed he hadn’t seen the shots) that there were plans to wear a one off shirt akin to when Manure wore a one off shirt in tribute to those who passed in the Munich air disaster. Take it with a pinch of salt though, as he didn’t really seem sure and just seemed to agree with the point/question I raised to him along those lines.

Just a few notes on the other kits we saw. Inter have a new white away shirt, with a fancy looking dragon snaking down the sleeve onto the body of the shirt. Manure have a new home and away, the home looking akin to the new Brazil home with the same seams running down the sleeves but with a short white collar cutting into a V-neck. The Away was white, with red and black bolts at the top of the sleeves. Villa’s home and away looked akin to the new Holland home, but with checks on both shirts running down from under the sleeve. Barca had a interesting away shirt, in light green, with a red and blue strip across the chest. There were other shirts, but I’m sure I am boring you and my descriptions are pretty woeful

Hollands away is woeful.

The away is more intruiguing than the home IMO, the home is gonna be more of the same with a few slight differences (the checks).

I don't think we've ever anything exciting to expect with our home shirt, part of Randy's plans was to maintain tradition and create a recognisable brand. We'll be sticking with this shade of claret, blue sleeves and the badge for a while yet.

My best mate tells me that FoxPro are also one of the main sponsors of the WRC (World Rally Championship) as he works on the TV highlights.

Nike kits are very boring now.......it''s like their design team has resigned so they give the job to a student who puts the teams colours on a Nike template and then sell them for £50 each.

Amazing !

I've got a Claret and White Nike top exactly the same as that. Got it a few years ago from Merry Hell.

It's nice :)
